ABOUT
The Foundation's
Officers and Board of Directors bring military know-how and private
sector expertise to the management of the organization.
Foundation
Officers:
President:
Daniel Perez. Daniel spent fifteen years serving in the military
where he led soldiers during times of war and peace. He currently
serves as a manager with the federal government. Daniel brings fifteen
years of experience teaching young adults in church-related settings.
Executive
Director:
Vicki Perez. Vicki is a Senior Program Analyst for General
Dynamics Information Technology. Her previous experience includes
serving as a CIO for Dewitt Army Hospital and as Director of the
European Conference for Women in Heidelberg, Germany. Vicki is an
ordained minister and serves in the Grief Ministry of Alfred Street
Baptist Church.
Secretary:
Tiffany Martin. Tiffany is a Military Intelligence officer in
the United States Army and a research fellow at the Logistics Management
Institute in McLean, VA. She is a graduate of the United States
Military Academy at West Point.
Foundation Board of Directors:
Lewis Baker
is the principal at Baker Schilling Inc., a D.C. based wealth management
firm. Prior to founding Baker Schilling, Lewis was a Vice President
at Morgan Stanley and a Certified Financial Manager for Merrill Lynch.
Lewis earned a B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West
Point and served as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army.
Erica Jeffries
is an associate for Security Strategy, Defense and Analysis with Booz
Allen Hamilton, Inc. Prior to her current position she served as a
United States Army Captain for the 4th Infantry Division
Aviation Regiment in Fort Hood, TX. Erica earned a B.S. from the United
States Military Academy at West Point and an M.A. from Georgetown
University, Washington, D.C.
Christopher
Smith
is the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Oil and Gas at the U.S. Department
of Energy. Prior to assuming this role he served in positions of
increasing responsibility in the Oil and Gas industry and in finance.
Chris began his career as an Army officer, serving in Korea and Hawaii.
Chris earned a B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West
Point and an M.B.A. from Cambridge University.
Lawanda Warthen
is a Medical Service officer United States Army, stationed in
Heidelberg, Germany.
She
is a professor at the University of Phoenix and teaches health care
delivery and ethics in healthcare classes at TUI University. She holds
a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, a Masters Degree in Public
Administration Columbus State University, and a PhD in Health Care
Administration from Walden University.
